I had a terrible race today. It was hot and incredibly windy. I went around one bend in the road that went from slight tailwind to direct headwind and immediately went from 26 or 27 mph to about 17 or 18 mph. I also was reminded that riding long-distance stuff like brevets is not the best training for a 10 mile time trial. So, back to intervals on the time trial bike. Hopefully, I will get in shape and the next couple of months at this race will be better.
